I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

We all know someone who has suffered from, or is still suffering from, the effects of their military service.

The number of veterans who resort to taking their own lives often exceeds the actual combat casualties from the conflicts in which they served. In 2021, this figure stood at 253.

We are in the fortunate position to be able to help raise funds to support our comrades in arms.

On Tuesday 23rd June, we will be attempting a half marathon (13.1 mile) march carrying packs weighing in at 17 kgs (standard weight for military fitness tests) aiming to complete within a 4 hour cut off.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

We are taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Not all scars are visible.

Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support.

I am proud to support this charity walk raising awareness and vital funds for veterans' mental health. Our veterans have given so much in service to others, and many continue to face challenges long after their military careers end. Mental health support can make a life-changing difference, helping veterans access the care, understanding, and resources they deserve. Every step taken on this walk represents our gratitude, respect, and commitment to those who have served. Together, we can help break down stigma, encourage conversations about mental health, and ensure that no veteran feels alone in their journey. Michelle Wade💕
