Race to Remember 2026
These Terms and Conditions are your contract with Combat Stress and Classic Challenge Ltd and refer to Race to Remember 2026.
By registering for Race to Remember 2026, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Registration & Participating in the Event
- This is an active challenge which involves a high level of fitness. Your general state of health and fitness must be good. It is your responsibility to be fit enough to participate in the Race to Remember and to seek your doctor’s approval if you have any health concerns about safely completing the event.
- You must be at least 18 years old to take part in the event.
- To register for Race to Remember you must complete the online registration form and make payment. You will receive an email confirming your payment. All information relating to the event will be sent by email or be accessible via the event website. It is your responsibility to read and act on the information supplied.
- The run and walk is a self-guided challenge. Marshalls will be in position at key points. It is your responsibility not to get lost and you must bring a fully charged mobile phone with
- You participate at your own risk, and you are responsible for your personal safety at all times. Combat Stress and Classic Challenge Ltd cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage of your property or for any injuries or illness that occur as a result of this event.
- If you drop out of the event having started it for any reason you must inform Central Control.
- By registering for this event, you give permission for the free use of your voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising and materials to promote this event in future.
- Classic Challenge Ltd and Combat Stress may, at their discretion, withdraw your place Race to Remember if it is believed to be in their best interest.
Payment Options & Fundraising
There are two payment options for this challenge:
- Payment Option 1 – SELF FUND
Upon registration you pay the non-refundable registration fee of £125 for the 36km walk or run or £175 for the 76km run. Although there is no minimum sponsorship target, we ask that you raise what you can in support of veterans’ mental health.
- Payment Option 2 – MINIMUM SPONSORSHIP
Upon registration you pay the non-refundable registration fee of £55 for the 36km walk or run or £85 for the 76km run. You then commit to raise at least £395 for Combat Stress.
Combat Stress must receive at least 75% of this target (£296.25) 4 weeks prior to the event (Friday 9 October 2026).
If you are unable to meet the minimum fundraising target by this date, you will be given the option to switch to a self-funded place where you will be asked to pay the appropriate registration fee difference to retain your event place:
36km £125 - £55 = £70 to pay
76km £175 - £85 = £90 to pay
Where you are unable to meet this initial target, and there is no prospect of you meeting the minimum fundraising target, and you don’t want to switch to a self-funded place, Combat Stress reserves the right to revoke your place in the event without refunding your registration fee.
Should you have to withdraw, sponsor forms and monies should be forwarded to the Combat Stress or returned to the sponsors.
Cancellation
Cancellation by you:
You may cancel your place on the challenge at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the person signing the booking form and is communicated directly to us in writing.
As we start incurring costs from the time, we confirm your booking we will retain your registration fee as this is non-refundable.
Cancellation By Classic Challenge Ltd or Combat Stress
- Combat Stress and Classic Challenge Ltd reserves the right to cancel the event for operational reasons, force majeure or any other reasons.
- If we do cancel your event for any reason other than force majeure we will offer you a full and prompt refund of all monies paid by you.
- Combat Stress and Classic Challenge Ltd does not accept liability for reasonable changes to the itinerary in circumstances of Force Majeure. Force Majeure means any unusual or unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to an act of God, war, accident, road closures, and failure of power supply, abnormal weather, fire, explosion or labour Disturbance or Coronavirus related lockdowns and travel restrictions.
- We regret that we cannot pay out any expenses, costs or losses you incur as a result of any cancellation
- In the event of Race to Remember being cancelled we will endeavour to contact all participants prior to the day where possible. We will also keep the event website updated with the latest news.
Law and Jurisdiction
This contract is made on the terms of these Conditions of Entry which are governed by English Law and both parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts at all times.
GDPR
If you register for a challenge, you will provide us with a certain amount of Personal Data which we will process for the purpose of administering the challenge.
We will pass on your personal details to Classic Challenge Ltd only. Examples of your personal details include (but are not limited to) your name, address, date of birth, passport details, next of kin, dietary requirements and medical history, including any pre-existing medical conditions.
We will not sell, rent or share your personal details with any unrelated third parties. In accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and GDPR (2018), you may ask us in writing for a copy of the information we hold about you. We aim to respond to you within 21 days from the date of the request. By submitting your personal data, you agree to the transfer of your personal information. Classic Challenge and Combat Stress will take all reasonably necessary steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
