Ok, just a week to go and I'm already having a week of rest as have a little injury that is doing well and healing but I need to take care of it. Kind of need my feet. My own fault for tripping over a 50kg bag at bootcamp in the dark 😆. No worries, I will crack on, no pun intended. This charity means too much.Update
Training has taken me up to 14 miles. A long way to go but time enough. Don't want to wreck my poor knees too much before the event 😉Support my Race to Remember
This year I will be taking part in Race to Remember to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
The Combat Stress charity means a great deal to me. I have heard many stories in my career in mental health and since joining Bootcamp UK Gosport of veterans who have not had the help they needed and have struggled with their mental health or ended their lives.
My Dad, my hero, worked in the RN supporting those affected by PTSD and I know that Combat Stress can also do heroic work and change the lives of those affected. Those that may otherwise sacrifice their lives after serving our country.
We can change this.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on Race to Remember to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
