I did it - my first ultra!

I’m absolutely thrilled (and still slightly in disbelief!) to say that I’ve completed my first ultra marathon. Race to Remember was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, full of emotion, endurance, and amazing people.
From the moment we set off, I knew it was going to be a tough day, but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. The atmosphere was incredible, with everyone out there running not just for themselves, but for a cause that truly matters.
A huge part of what made the day so special was meeting Kev, who I ran alongside for the entire race. From the first few miles to the very last stretch, he kept me going with encouragement, laughter, and shared determination. I honestly couldn’t have done it without him – thank you, Kev, for being an absolute legend.
Crossing that finish line was an emotional moment, made even more special by having my whole family there to cheer me home. Seeing their faces and hearing their support after all those miles meant the world.
This event wasn’t just about distance – it was about purpose. Supporting Combat Stress gave every mile extra meaning. Knowing that every step helps make a difference for veterans kept me going when things got tough.
Thank you to everyone who’s donated, encouraged, or followed my journey so far. Your support truly kept me moving forward.
If you’d like to help me continue to raise funds for Combat Stress, please consider donating – every contribution, big or small, makes an impact.
Here’s to new challenges, amazing people, and doing something that matters. 🧡💙
Support my Race to Remember
This year, I'm finally taking on a challenge I've always been tempted by - an ultramarathon!
On 8th November, I'll be running 76km (47.6 miles) in Race to Remember. I'm raising vital funds for Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health.
I'm proud to be running for this cause. Every step I take will be in support of those who've given so much, and I want to raise as much as possible to ensure veterans can access the life-changing mental health treatment they deserve.
For over a century, Combat Stress have helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
Thank you so much for your support, it really does make a difference.
