You can complete your challenge at any time from the 26th June to the 24th July! How and where you complete the challenge is completely up to you, which means the event can be adjusted to your own personal challenge – you can walk, run, swim, any form of self-propelled movement to add up towards your final total.

Please be sure to follow the COVID-19 government guidelines and rules at the time. Be careful, stay safe and please use your best judgement and wear high-viz clothing if out at night.

How do I track my distance?

add remove

There are three ways you can record the distances you cover.

If you use a FitBit and have a registered FitBit account, you can connect this to your profile during the sign up process.

Alternatively, you can use the MapmyFitness app, available for both iOS and Android devices, to record distances. The app is compatible with a range of wearable fitness devices including Apple Watch and Garmin.

If neither of these options work for you, you are able to enter your distances manually on the Move for our Military website.

Follow these steps to track your miles automatically:

1. If not already using, download the Fitbit or MapMyFitness app and set up your account

2. Log in to your Move for our Military account.

3. Under the heading ‘Connect your preferred Fitness app’, click your chosen app.

4. Follow the prompts to connect your account

5. When you next work out, select ‘start your workout’ in the app on your phone. Once you end your workout, save your workout and your distance will be published to the tally on your page the following day.
