My target 500 kms

7 September #7

Steady solo ride out along country lanes, coastal path, rugged public footpaths through fields of crop,  giving way to huge tractors and passing swans and their rather large cygnets.

7 September #7

I’m already 7 days into this challenge.
The Combat Stress activities section is linked to my Strava - all activities on Strava automatically appear on the Combat Stress list of activities.
For example - dog walking and gym sessions have appeared. As they have no relevance to this cycling challenge I’ve deleted them, hoping to show a true reflection of the total kilometres that I’ve actual cycled. Tho all the dog walking km seem to still appear on the accumulative list regardless that I’ve deleted them from the activity list. 🙄

6 September #6

Day 6  Impromptu around the block on two wheels another 10 miles (16km) completed

28 August Pre-Challenge jaunt with a Veteran

Finally I met up with a WRAC veteran friend for a bike ride.

She hadn’t been out on two wheels for several months.

We completed a 21.83 mile loop - her confidence has returned to get out on solo rides.

I’m super chuffed that she too has taken on this Combat Stress Cycling Challenge.

Good luck Kate - so proud of you.

I'm taking part in the Combat Stress CycleSeptember challenge!

This year I will be taking on CycleSeptember and cycling 250, 500, 750 or 1,000 kilometers to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
