My target 500 kms

Week 1+

It’s now Day 8 and I’ve covered 168 of my 500km target. Yesterday was a busy day at work and a bit stressful, which continued on into today, but that is why I’m doing this.
My preferred escape activity is cycling so that’s what I did. It helped me unwind, will build my fitness back and importantly through this event supports those who need more than a bike ride to escape or reset.

Day 1 - 30km Done

First ride for cycle September done on Zwift, as a lot of the distance probably will be.
The leg seems to be okay with pedalling and will hopefully improve as the Kilometres get ticked off.
Just need some sponsorship to start coming in now 😎

I didn’t take part in this event or raise funds for this amazing charity last year, however this year I am. This will hopefully raise vital funds and support my recovery after a nasty infection in my right leg. As if my right leg wasn’t already FUBAR’d enough after previous serious injuries. Hey ho I’m still here and others need my help and your donations please 🙏

I'm taking part in the Combat Stress CycleSeptember challenge!

This year, after year away, I will be taking on CycleSeptember and cycling 500 kilometers to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
