Tuesday evening

I was not feeling like going out on the bike after a busy day at work - but glad I did a few more miles in the bag and a lovely evening bike ride chasing the sunset !

This mornings ride

This mornings ride was great from Linton to York coffee and a biscuit stop at the Jacksons house, thank you:-) it was raining very heavy which made my ride exhilarating it reminded me of how I used to enjoy running in the rain so hopefully I am starting to get the buzz I once got from running when out on the bike , hope so.

Make time to catch up with friends and family

Great weekend metal detecting with my Son Miller and the legend and great friend Kev Fitzpatrick who was a Paramedic with NEAS NHS Trust and British Heart Foundation Heartstart UK Coordinator for Northern England.
If interested these are well organised events run by Lothian Relics Metal Detecting | Lothian Relics | Scotland
We found some old and new coins / musket balls and other relics but most of all great to spend somne quality time together and thanks to Kev , Rob and Clive for the loan of all the kit .

good start

So I have been of to a reasonable start although with the Holiday it has meant that have not done as much as I could have. On the way to work this morning it dawned that I should be doing more as this weekend again I am away so my aim is to get some short evening rides in this week !

Make time to catch up with friends

Great to catch with my old mate Johnny in Scarborough on a beautiful Sunday morning we have not seen each other for some years, Johnny served in the Navy and is a Paramedic . Great guy

Going the extra Mile

It's going to be hard but I am determined to complete this challenge which I hope will raise some monies for this great charity and also improve my own fitness!

I'm taking part in the Combat Stress CycleSeptember challenge!

This year I will be taking on CycleSeptember and cycling 250 kilometres to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
