Target Hit!!

818Km (508 miles) completed! Target was 800km, which I thought was a bit ambitious at the time. Shows what can be achieved when you put your mind to it. Weather was a bit rubbish this week, but I managed to dodge most of the showers, apart from Wednesday when I got soaked through! For those who have donated I thank you, for those who were maybe waiting to see if I made before donating I thank you in advance! I need another £173.49 to hit my target of £500. So far the Cycleseptember event has raised £25797 out of a target of £25000, so we are over achievers!! Please donate to this very worthy cause if you are able.

Best regards

Mark

Week 3

3 weeks done and 656km (407miles) covered. A good week, with 244km knocked off. Weather has been very kind and allowed rides to fit around work. I think today's weather however is indicative of the week ahead. Looks as though it may be a very damp 156km to reach my 800km (500 mile) target.

New Jersey!

Nice Combat Stress jersey for raising £250. Nearly at £300 now! Thanks you to everyone who has donated so far.

Week 2

2 weeks in and 410km done (I use Km as it looks like more!), that's 254 miles in old money. 390 to go and I reach my target. Still feeling good, if a tad leg tired on this AM's ride. For those who have sponsored me to date, I thank you very much. For those who may wish to donate I thank you in advance for the motivational input! £213 more and I reach my target. Weather looks good for the next week at least, so many more Kms this week!

1 week done!

1 week in, 182km covered and £266 raised so far. Legs still feel good and the other 618km should be easy lol!

800Km.....Doddle.

Despite my main page not showing activity I have started! It's supposed to update automatically from Strava......supposed to! 58Km done so far.

I'm taking part in the Combat Stress CycleSeptember challenge!

After 44 years of uniformed service and now enjoying 'retirement' I thought it was high time I give something back. This year I will be taking on CycleSeptember and cycling 250, 500, 750 or 1,000 kilometers to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans. My target is 350 miles, that's 563km in new money. For those of you who remember my more portly years you may well be thinking he'll keel over after 10! Time will tell.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
