1 month to go!

Hi everyone,

A huge thank you for all your support so far. It honestly means the world to us.

Although the official D-Day 44 Challenge takes place on 6th June, our journey actually started way back in September. Rather than just preparing for one big walk, we’ve gone all in and so far we’ve clocked up over 95 miles of training 🥾

We’ve been doing distances between 6 and 12 miles at a time, and to make things extra fun we’ve been carrying rucksacks weighing between 15 and 20 kilograms on each walk. So yes, it’s been sweaty, sore, and more than a little challenging!

But every mile is a reminder of why we’re doing this. We’re taking on this challenge to raise funds for Combat Stress, a brilliant UK charity supporting veterans with mental health difficulties. These are the kinds of invisible battles that continue long after the uniform comes off.

The real challenge is fast approaching. On 6th June, the anniversary of the original D-Day landings, we’ll be walking the full 22-mile route across the Normandy beaches. It’s an incredible honour and we’re doing it with full hearts (and probably very tired legs).

Support our D-Day Challenge

In honour of our forefathers as well as current servicemen and women who have bravely fought to protect our way of life, we will be taking on the D-Day Challenge to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

The D-Day 44 Challenge commemorates the 1944 Allied invasion of occupied France. Karl, Luke and Lee will be heading to Normandy, to race across its picturesque beaches, finishing at the historic Pegasus Bridge on the anniversary of D-Day, 6 June 2025.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For almost a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

We are taking on the D-Day Challenge to help take vital strides towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
