Changing things up

Last couple of rides I’ve punctured my back tyre on these stupid pot-holes- maybe I need to keep a closer eye on my tyre pressure (and by that, I mean actually check and not guess). I can’t afford to keep getting new inner tubes.
I also found that my skinny wheels is actually pretty dead and dangerous. Calliper seized and broken and brake pads are a ghost of what they once were 🥲.
Ive now put broke skinny wheels on the turbo trainer and I am going to do as much as I can before the end of the month with it on there.

My fitness activity log isn’t updating on here for some reason. But because of the technical difficulties, starting a new job and considerable lack of child care- I have decided to add in all distance activities that I log on strava. Walks, runs and rides. All efforts counting.

When I signed up to this my circumstances were very different and I was expecting them to change so quickly! All good things though!

If I don’t quite make then goal, im sorry- I will not say that I didn’t try though.

Thank you so much

Mission impossible!?

By this point I was hoping I'd have eaten into a much bigger chunk of the 250km goal than I have done so far.

6th September I completed in my 1st triathlon! That was Septembers First 20km down. I didn't want to get Injured or risk damaging my bike days before the event. I also work and have three wonderful children. If I could be out cycling all the time, I would be! But I can't, so I seriously need to be fitting in much bigger rides to hit 250km by the end of the month.

Your support and encouragement is really helping to keep me motivated.
All donations are going direct to combat stress, where they will be utilising your generosity to benefit veterans and families that desperately need it. The battle doesn't stop once they leave the front line.

Please follow @fk_it_letstry on Instagram where I'll be regularly posting updates on my progress and show appreciation for your support.

Let's get this thing done!!

I'm taking part in the Combat Stress CycleSeptember challenge!

This year I will be taking on CycleSeptember and cycling 250 kilometers to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. They've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.

My goal is to raise £1/ km ridden. I will be tracking my distance on Strava. If you cannot donate, sharing is caring! Would really appreciate you spreading the word.

Thank you so much for your support. I am so excited to get going!
