I'm taking part in the Combat Stress 100 Miles in May challenge

This year I will be taking on 100 Miles in May as part of Team TAB, to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

First off, thanks for joining me as l take on the 100mile tab challenge, hoping to raise as much as l can for a fantastic charity!

I’m Will, & I’m a Late Entry (LE) Captain, soon to be Major (which means I have promoted through the ranks) in the Royal Engineers (@Proud_Sappers), a Corps in the British Army. 

I currently serve at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (@RMASandhurst), helping with the planning & delivery of training for the next generation of Direct Entry (DE) Officers.  

I believe that if you treat people as best you can, they will work hard to achieve our team goals. There is nothing wrong with smiling (even Late Entry Officers, often perceived as grumpy!)😀 & selfless commitment to those you serve alongside (up & down), underpins and grows trust & respect. 

Hard training matters, realism and a professional approach fosters confidence & saves lives. 

We all leave the Army eventually, one memory I have as a former Sergeant Major is that ‘we’re caretakers of a job’, so we might as well make it as enjoyable for everyone as possible and leave it in good order for the next incumbent.
