Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.

My Updates

Done and dusted - 10 miles, 4 hours, 22,000 steps

Saturday 27th Mar
Feeling very grateful for all my supporters and feeling considerably fitter than I was a month ago. A big shout out to blister plasters - they really work well! Putting my feet up now!

Another week, another long march

Sunday 21st Mar
4 hours and 9.4miles of hillwalking with husband and dog this morning. Blisters and exhausted legs. Determined next week to add a final lap around the car park to achieve a full 10miles in one go. Thanks to all my donors for your support.

6 March - 4 walks 10 miles

Saturday 6th Mar
3 more weeks to try and do again in a single walk. 😀

4 walks, 10 miles - it’s not too late to support Combat Stress

Saturday 6th Mar
To succeed in a task you need
1) to get your head in the game (thank you to my early supporters for helping with this),
2) put your shoulder to the grindstone (thank you to my family for joining me on my training walks), and
3) take the first step and then carry on regardless.
Today I did 4 walks and covered over 10 miles. There was nothing Olympian about the pace but it did the job.
I think that’s what mental well being is all about. We don’t need to be perfect or exemplary, we just need to know that putting one foot in front of the other is often a success in itself.

Early bird supporters get me training

Friday 19th Feb
Thanks to my early bird supporters. I feel inspired to get training and try to do my 10 miles all in one go. Last week did just under 5 miles so need to get out again this weekend!

Thank you to my Sponsors

Glad to help, especially when you’re doing the work.
